Whiskey Madeira Mystery

DESCRIPTION: Bold notes of honey and lemon characterize this 14 year old Bourbon cask spirit, aged in Hogshead Madeira. With a well-balanced profile on both the nose and palate, it has a rich, warm finish with delicate spice. Nose: Aromas of red apples and pear along with subtle notes of dried grass and hay with wonderful hints of vanilla and golden honey. Palate: Fresh apple peel, crisp apple core. Honeysuckle sums it up. Fruity and balanced with light oaky notes and smooth malt notes. Finish: A crisp, rich finish with touches of sweet red fruit, oak and raisins in the mouth. Aged in bourbon casks for 14 years. Aged in Madeira barrels for 18 months.
