DESCRIPTION: The grapes come from the historic Lispida vineyard, where it is documented that the first Cabernet franc and sauvignon vineyard was planted in Italy, directly imported from the Bordeaux area in France, by Count Corinaldi in 1870, in his estate on the Euganean Hills. The La Costa company today manages these ancient and historic vineyards from which a superb wine is obtained. The grapes that have reached maturity are harvested manually in boxes, and transported to the cellar, where they are de-stemmed, fermented in steel tanks for 15-20 days depending on the vintage. After racking, the wine is stored in cement tanks to better stabilize and clean itself.
After some decanting at the beginning of the new year, it is filtered, bottled and left in the bottle for a few months. The nose shows complex herbaceous and spicy notes that elegantly intertwine with aromas reminiscent of berries.
Upon contact with the taste buds it releases a good structure and an enviable balance which, accompanied by excellent persistence, enhances its pleasantness.
Ideal with meat-based first courses and meat-based second courses. It goes well with not very mature cheeses.
