DESCRIPTION: This rich, full-bodied Pinot Noir represents the best of the Ribbon Ridge AVA. Seven-day cold maceration to encourage smooth extraction of color and aromas. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Aged 16 months in 40% new oak barrels with racking only prior to bottling. The nose features aromas reminiscent of cozy winter evenings: vanilla, blueberry, and chai tea. The palate features cardamom, cocoa powder, espresso beans, nutmeg, and white pepper, with a subtle hint of tea and chili pepper. Calabrian.
