DESCRIPTION: Recognized by experts as a Whisky extraordinary to all intents and purposes, the Ardberg of Islay single malt stands out as the most delicate Malt Whisky Islay and structured . Its strength derives from the absence of an excessive amount of peat , indeed prevails instead malt , whose natural sweetness creeps gently creating a perfect balance . Exceptional balance and depth . If drunk straight , the aroma is a collection of seductive sweetness of toffee and chocolate, spicy flavor of cinnamon and phenols of medicinal plants. Clear notes of fresh citrus and floral notes of white wine , melon, pear and hints of a delicate creaminess. It will also warn the phenolic aroma of fresh sea spray ( iodine) and smoked fish. Chicory and coffee emerge later vanished once the top notes , more volatile. With water, it releases all of the depth of the peat immediately revealing layers of phenols with notes of peat, milled malt and leather followed by phenols of medicinal plants (soap made from carbolic acid ) and a trace of wood smoke . However, the sweetness of vanilla and citrus fragrance never disappear , keeping the balance and charm . The initial moderate and clean sweetness is quickly followed by a mouthful of deep peat notes , with hints of tobacco smoke and espresso concentrate, and then give way to the sweetness of molasses and licorice . Initially, the mouth feel is slightly spicy , and chewy , titillating and full , and finally drier. The finish is long and smoky.
