DESCRIPTION:The Balvenie is unlike all other malts with a unique combination of human skills and natural alchemy. It is certainly the more artisan single malts on the market yet. What makes the Balvenie is the proper cultivation of barley, malting in traditional distillery and in the presence of master coppersmiths for maintenance of the stills, master coopers for the manufacture and care of all the barrels and finally the presence of the master distiller more experienced in: David Stewart. Annexed to the distillery, then, lies a farm, the Balvenie Mains, over 300 hectares, which provides part of the barley used. The barley is malted malting floor in the only extant in the Highlands. In the continuity of tradition, the stills are treated by the same master coppersmith master coopers while the Balvenie continue to produce all the barrels in which it is aged single malt. Aged for 21 years in traditional barrels, the last stage of refinement in barrels is transferred from Porto and tasted each month to ensure a balanced result
