DESCRIPTION: On the border between the municipalities of Fargues and Sauternes , Château Rieussec is constituted of a single plot of 83 hectares. Ranked "Premier Cru " in 1855 , Rieussec still has the reputation of a time having benefited from the guidance of owners and capable of quality, which even in difficult vintage have been able to make to the vineyards and winemaking , the necessary treatment. Over the centuries , Château Rieussec has changed owners several times , until 1985 when it was bought by Baronss Domaine de Rothschild , which allowed him to go even further in the quest for ever higher quality . The vineyards occupy one of the highest points in Sauternes , after those of Yquem , with a land ghiaiso and limestone . Yields are lower screws to 15 quintals per hectare. Sweet white wine , full bodied , fruity and spicy , aged at least 18 months in French oak barrels . From deep golden color has a floral bouquet with fruity peach , fig, green almond and apricot jam and a spicy note of ginger cream . At palto is soft , creamy and with great persistence
