DESCRIPTION: René Muré and his sons represent the eleventh and twelfth generation of winemakers of the family. In 1648 Michel Muré settled in Westhalten, next to Rouffach, to cultivate vineyards. In 1935, Alfred Muré, René's grandfather, was able to purchase the Clos St Landelin, a 15-hectare vineyard that remained the monopoly of the Muré family. René Muré has also started the production of Cote de Rouffach and Cremants wines, thanks to the contribution of local vine-grower grapes. Vinification follows traditional methods. The alcoholic fermentation takes place thanks to indigenous yeasts, which at low temperature work slowly and transform the must into wine with delicacy. The result is a remarkable definition of the aromas of the territory. After aging, the wines are lightly filtered, in order to maintain the highest quality.
