DESCRIPTION: Louis Eugène Pannier created the Maison Pannier in 1899 in Dizy, near Epernay. In 1937, his son bought some magnificent medieval cellars at Chateau Thierry Vallée de la Marne, and installed his house there. In 1974, a group of winemakers acquired the house to make the Pannier brand their emblem. It was in 1999 that an archaeological mission discovered in the cellars a fresco of the fourteenth century representing a medieval archer, which thus became the emblem of the brand. The Champagne Pannier then adopts the motto of archers: Ad perfectionem intend, that is to tend to perfection. Today this logo symbolizes the style of the house and its wines: elegance and balance. Champagne Pannier combines modern and traditional ... The traditional blend of Champagne wines from Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Nero grapes, which ripen for Pannier in the noble vineyards of Champagne and are vinified under the guidance of oenologist Philippe Dupuis, who has over twenty years of experience, is the secret that makes Pannier a classic champagne. The non-vintage Brut, which is usually the main indicator of the quality of a maison, is produced by 60% Pinot Nero and Meunier and 40% Chardonnay, aged for a minimum of 3 years. The Chardonnay grapes come from the Cote des Blancs and give delicacy, while the Pinot Noir comes from the Mountain of Reims and gives structure, the Pinot Meunier gives the fruity. The personality of Champagne Pannier is expressed in the vinification, in the subtle composition of each assemblage, which are combined to have elegant, balanced and persistent wines.
