DESCRIPTION: Altfränkisch Klosterbier in German means "Ancient monastic beer of the Franconia. " It is produced with malt Vienna, dried at enough temperatures high to give it a nice amber color but not so intense as to give it to anyone toasted note. The resulting beer after careful union with the local hops noble of the Hersbruecker, is that which we could define a "Landbier" term used to describe the real beers of the local tradition. Malt notes are present but the sweetness of the biscuit and a memory of caramel quickly give way (both to the nose on the palate) to a fresh note herbaceous and floral of the wonderful hops local. Klosterbruerei Weissenoher takes the name from the ancient Benedictine abbey (today laicized) that hosts it. Her foundation is even traced in the second half of the eleventh century All the Klosterbruerei Weissenoher beers are produced with the traditional mashing for decoction.
