DESCRIPTION: Fresh and light but with a character single. Despite the intense hopping aromatic and very low gradation alcoholic Jarl is a masterpiece of balance and flavors. In the glass opens with fresh citrus notes (yellow grapefruit, cedar, lime) among which i soft hints of the sweet English malt. On the palate we find the sensations reconfirmed anticipate us on the nose, plus a decisive one herbaceous component that comes only in part tamed by sweets (but never tired) malty notes that shyly they add balance and structure. Neither to say it, the body is very light and slender and the hopped and very clean finish: basic characteristics for a beer that manages to disarm the worst heat summer already from the first sip. Jarl, born in 2010 as a specialty for the FyneFest of that year, was one of the first beers in the UK to be produced with the hops Citra (US) used in this case, in purity. The name derives from the ancient word Norwegian Jarl (captain / commander). In the 12th century, in fact, the lands that today surround the brewery were disputed by the Viking tribes from Norway and commanded, precisely, from the warlike Jarl
