Savagnin Elevage Long 2018

DESCRIPTION: Grapes harvested when fully ripe and pressed immediately, racked within 24 hours. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. A traditional Jura winemaking process, in old, unfilled barrels, for 7 years. A deep golden yellow color with amber highlights, the nose is incredibly complex, with notes of dried fruit, followed by hints of curry and turmeric. The oxidative note is pleasant and present. On the palate, the wine is vibrant, supported by excellent and surprising acidity, with a perfect balance between power and harmony. Excellent persistence. Recommended pairings: mountain cheese platters (Comté, Abondance, Cantal) or blue cheeses (Ambert, Gex, Montbrison), curry and cream-based preparations.
