DESCRIPTION: This is an important, memorable, structured, complex, and elegant wine. According to critic Tim Atkin, it is the most qualitatively significant wine produced from these varieties in South Africa, reminiscent of the finest Bordeaux Blancs. A rigorous selection of both varietals from single vineyards, in challenging conditions facing the sea and at the foot of the Chapman's Peak mountain range, on decomposed granite soils. On the nose, floral notes of orchid, rose, and peach blossom take center stage. Rich fruit emerges in the glass, with white fruit, ripe nectarine, pink grapefruit, and figs emerging, followed by herbaceous notes; fresh thyme and holly stand out. It is a complex and persistent glass that finishes with the classic savory and mineral notes of the Noordhoek terroir.
